The Kelantan Health Conference is a biennial event organised by the Persatuan Anggota Kesihatan Kelantan (PEAKK). The 11th Kelantan Health Conference (KHC) with the theme “Healthcare Partnership : Unity In Diversity” will be held on 4-5 September 2023 at the Grand Renai, Kota Bharu, Kelantan, in collaboration with Kelantan State Health Department and Department of Community Medicine, Universiti Sains Malaysia.

Purpose

This conference serves as a platform for all healthcare providers to update knowledge, share experiences and new discoveries in healthcare field, thus fostering knowledge networks among healthcare providers to improve the quality of healthcare services provided to the community.

Welcoming Message

Dear colleagues and friends,

On behalf of the Organising Committee, it gives us great honour to welcome each and every one of you to this 11th Kelantan Health Conference (KHC) coming up in The Grand Renai, Kota Bharu, Kelantan from 4 - 5 September 2023. This conference is organised by the Persatuan Anggota Kesihatan Kelantan (PEAKK) in collaboration with Kelantan State Health Department and Department of Community Medicine, Universiti Sains Malaysia.

This year, the theme for this conference “Healthcare Partnership : Unity In Diversity” is aimed to address and advocate strong partnership between different fields of medicine and public health. The conference programme has been designed to meet the prestigious time with pre-conference workshops, plenary sessions, symposiums, as well as oral and poster presentations. Almost all aspects of health issue will be debated and discussed, and we hope that this will develop new ideas and thinking, and eventually improve the quality of healthcare services as well.

We would also like to welcome and thank all the credible speakers from well-known institutions who are experts in their field, for sharing knowledge and experience with all of us in this platform. We are truly thankful to the Minister of Health Malaysia, Ministry of Health Malaysia, all the state health departments, sessions and panel chairs, panellist members and speakers, and of course participants for their support and participation. We hope that all of you will find the 11th KHC 2023 edifying, interesting and enjoyable.

Beyond the 11th KHC, do take time to explore the uniqueness of Kelantan, the state of Cik Siti Wan Kembang which is rich in cultural heritage including its food heaven and traditions. So many interesting places to visit and activities to be involved, kite (Wau) flying competitions, top (Gasing) spinning activities and puppet shadow plays (Wayang Kulit), just to name a few. Thus, a visit to Kelantan will definitely leave you intrigued.

Not to forget, as the Patron of the Organising Committee of this conference, I personally wish to extend my sincere appreciation to the ever so hardworking committee members.
